Hello! I had a breast reduction last year ago and everything went well, my Insurance which is Tricare paid for everything, but it was due to a Medical condition.
I heard Tricare is very tricky to improve the surg. for my Tummy tuck. Since having 2 babies my c-section i have a tummy that sretched out and it hangs a bit like a Kangaroo Pouch.
What would be a way for me to get this taken care of? ( P.s. I am a Military Wife)

Lay off the cheetos and the soda. What does the military have to do with anything. Sorry I don't think the military will cover your tummy tuck of there are women with cancer married to military men and not all of the branches will cover them. You are on you own on this one. Sorry hun. |

To be honest, unless it is MEDICALLY necessary, no health insurance will approve that procedure. Unless your dr can prove that it's medically necessary they won't pay any of it.

Tummy tucks are a cosmetic procedure. I don't know if military insurance is different, but I know regular insurance won't cover anything cosmetic. It only covers things that physically impair you. |

You get your doctor to convince the insurance company that it's medically necessary. If your doctor feels it's a potential infection site, because the skin is doubled over, it's likely going to be covered. |

Unless it's reconstructive and not cosmetic, it's not gonna happen. No insurance pays for cosmetic procedures - and some will not pay for anything related to something cosmetic. (i.e. if you had breast implants, they will not pay for your breast cancer screenings, that kind of thing.) |
