If you are not a dependent of your parents, it should run out when you turn 18. If you ARE a dependent and in school full time, it can go anywhere from 22 to 26 depending on how the policy reads and what state you are in.

You are going to have to call the number on the back of your card and find out. But if it's a PRIVATE policy, and you are the policyholder, then you can probably just take over paying the monthly premiums for it.

Call member services - the number is on your card - and ask them. Some plans end the day you turn 18, or a month later, or at the end of the calendar year, or when you turn 19. If you're a full-time student, ask them what their policy is on that, and what proof they need.

The answer to your question can really vary per policy or state the policy is bought out of. Dependent children cutoff is usually at about 18/19 for non-students and between 21 to 26 for full time students. If you are a student and do not remit proof of student status at every semester you can be terminated. If you are a married at any age you become ineligible.

Call the number on the back of your card or log into your policy through the insurance company's website.

There are more angles to your simple questions then the IRS tax code. Generally speaking, you have to provide proof of full time student status once you obtain the age of 19.

The states will vary substancially and most require proof of student verification. These ages will range from 19 years of age in most states to 30 in New Jersey.

I am an insurance agent in Utah. Here, you can stay on your parents insurance until age 26, assuming you are in school and financially dependent on them. Not sure if it's different in other states or not. I would call your health insurance company and just ask them anonymously so they don't make any note of it. Hope that helps!
