I'm a 22YO student (no FT job) and am no longer covered by my family's insurance. What options do I have? Thx

If you are a FT student, most 4yr institutions have health plans that are cheap. If your institution does not provide those services, look into purchasing a policy from a health care provider like Blue Cross/Blue Shield, etc...

Also, look into employment opprotunities at Starbucks. They offer most PT employees some sort of health insurance.

If you're a full time student , you should be able to be covered under your parent's policy until you're like 23. If that's not an option, you'll have to buy an individual policy. If you're healthy, it should be pretty cheap, but probably won't have great coverage. But at least you'd be covered if you got really sick.
Good luck

Some colleges have group health insurance for students without other coverages.

First are you in college " if so, you can often get a plan though the college.

Or you can buy a plan from one of a 1000 companies and pay for it with what income you have or get a better job to pay for it

If you're a full-time student, your parent's insurance should cover you until you're either 23 or 25 years old, depending on the employer's riders. You'll need to file proof that you're a college student, but you should be able to get the coverage until a month after you graduate.

Check out your school's health administration. I remember my school had some fairly inexpensive health insurance for students in your situation.

Of course, you could join the Air Force like I did 20+ years ago and get it for free!

I work for a student insurance company. Without knowing the school you attend I am not sure if we have the contract for the student insurance at your school or not. The school's student health facilty would be able to tell you who handles the insurance and they should also be able to provide you with the numbers to call.

Is the key to this problem that you are not a full-time student? Even a web-search didn't come up with anythiing for me. A third-class notice delivered because it could not be forwarded helped me find a company. I should have started calling beginning with the best known companies, meaning the ones that will probably cover your claim no matter where you are. I pay for medical attention up to $2000. Insurance picks it up from there. Would be nice if your parents could help you come up with the deductible if you needed expensive medical attention.

You can buy a basic health plan through your school.

Some part time employers also will provide health insurance benefits.

You should be covered by your parents until you are 25. My son is.

You are covered until the age of 25. Your parents are lying to you.
