Many colleges offer affordable insurance...I would look into that. Mostly their premimums aren't that bad and it can be paid by student loans if the cost is charged to your student account.

It might not be a great plan, but it is cheap and better than nothing. Hopefully your university offers one.

A healthy male 25-years-old (and under) would pay under $100 a month for basic coverage. First you should check if your state offers free health insurance. Then, check your school. Most schools offer affordable health insurance. Finally, go to insure.com. They will find the most affordable insurance for you. I work for Western & Southern Financial Group. They might refer you to us. If so I can help you if you live in illinois. You should first check with your educational institution they usually offer a medical plan. Secondly if you will need coverage for a few months many companies offer a short term medical plan that is very affordable. Assurant Health offers one in most states. If you need long term coverage speak with an independent health insurance broker who can help you sort through the plans available in your state.

Good luck as a student I suffered through stuff. I couldn't afford anything I found. Everything I tried was at least $300 a month! If you are not married see if your parents insurance will cover you.
