I am a joiner and work throw a company i am not self employed should i still get charged 4 a apprentice?
government schemes will pay for an apprentice, your bosses will get cutbacks and money for taking him on. if hes in your charge you pay him nothing. if your expected to give him something dont! give him anything, thats your bosses remit.
just give him your time and experience.

Hi Kevin, are you saying that your employer are lowering your wages, because you have helping hands from an apprentice?
This is wrong, you should get the same wage rate or a higher wage, because you are in fact supervising this apprentice and are partly responsible for him. If this is a bonus scheme, then you should contact your union to try and get a better deal.
