You need to ask yourself are you doing the right thing for the client? Does the client has anything saved away that can pay for the funeral?
It's going to be very tough to find a life insurance company that will insure a 80 year old person. Plus, if you do find one, its going to cost at least $15/month per $1000 face coverage. That would probably make this person broke by the time he dies, whenever that maybe. |

there are a few final expense policies available such as Transamerica, presidential life, check AARP site for their NYlife deal.
Also check on rates for $25k as more competitive companies become available and it may cost you less to get more coverage. |

If you decide to write this guy, you'll need to go with United Home Life, or Chesapeake, or Americo. These companies all have great guaranteed issue products. These companies all have a "cash value" as well, as minimal as it may be.
As far as the ethics of writing him goes, the client needs to weight out how much it is worth to him to have this coverage. |

It's going to cost pretty much face value or a little over, but if he's willing to pay $11,000, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll just have to talk to your underwriters and throw money at the problem. |
