Go to the link below if you are in the UK. That tells you how to make a complaint. Good luck!

Contact your agent. They may be able to help you or explain why you were paid a certain amount. If you don't want to speak with your agent or the adjuster, I would call and ask for the adjusters manager. They may be able to help you. If you gave more specifics someone should be able to help you.

In the US each state had a Department of Insurance to file your complaints.

You need to follow the correct procedures and first tell your insurance company that you are not happy and why! At the same time ask for their complaints procedures.

This is standard practice with insurance and if you were to go straight to the financial ombudsman they will only tell you to raise it first with your insurer.

Once you have followed that insurers complaints procedures (which are standard across the industry) and if you are still not happy you can then speak to the Ombudsman who will adjudicate on your behalf.

The ombudsman are completely independent but very thorough so make sure you have all the facts before takin it further.

YES! Charles R. Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. Their link is

http://www.publicadjuster.com

The only thing these people do is fight the insurance companies and make them pay YOU what they owe you. For instance, one guy suffered a loss in his home and his insurance company offered him, like, $40,000, but Charles R. Tutwiler and Associates got the guy hundreds of thousands of dollars more. There are page after page after page of success stories like this on their site, all of them verifiable.

I have a good friend who suffered severe damage from Hurricane Charley in 2004. Her insurance company told her that she only suffered $2900 worth of damage and her deductible was $3000. What kinda crap is that? Tutwiler got her boat loads of money for her losses. They will travel anywhere, even Europe.

Good luck!

You should contact your State's department of insurance, or insurance commissioner's office. They will handle the complaint against an insurer licensed to do business in your state.

It depends where you are located. If you are in the US, every state has a state board of insurance/department of insurance. You can private message me with your location and I'll tell you where to go.

The place to start is your state insurance department. But I'd talk to your agent before that.
