He has a Healthnet HMO and said that the woman in acct. @ his job (he is a pool/spa cleaner) said that i would be covered no problem, meanwhile every insurance agent i've spoken with said that i am pretty much outta luck. |

Generally, yes, since it's a group policy. But your husband should check with his H.R. department to be sure. |

Well, if he can add you on, the new insurer is allowed to ask for proof of previous coverage to show that you didn't have a lapse in insurance coverage of more than 63 days, so that the pregnancy would be covered.
The thing is, if he's ALREADY on his group plan, likely you/he will have to wait until open enrollment, to add you on. Usually that's in November for most companies.
I'd agree with what your local professionals are telling you - you're probably out of luck and out of pocket for this pregnancy. |

Possibly, but it all depends on what sorts of waiting periods the plan has for pre-existing conditions. You're not going to get a definitive answer in this forum. You should read the plan details or ask the person who administers this for your husband's employer directly. |

Unless he added you to his insurance, you wouldn't be. But I don't know why he wouldn't do that if he knew you had no insurance and he just started a new policy. Keep in mind though that pregnancy is not always covered unless a rider is put on. Check with his employer and get the scoop. |

You should look in to getting Medical for yourself while you are pregnant. Once the baby is born your hubby would have about 30days to add him or her to his Ins.
I don't think they could cover you yet. He would prob. have to add you in the beginning of the year.
Never know though some Insurance co. may be different so you should ask him to check with his Ins. or the HR people at his job. |
