There is usually a requirement that you need to take state approved courses to get your insurance license. Each states have its own regulations about insurance. So you might or might not have to take classes. |

Check out this web site, this is where I go to get my new employees licensed (6 in the last 4 years and all but 1 passed first time). You can purchase practice tests as well as getting all the info on licensing in your State. When you are ready you can schedule your exam through one of their centers.

Please check with the Department of Insurance website in your state. It will tell you all that you need to know to become licensed and what the requirements are for CEUs each year.
Also, know that if you want to sell in another state, for me Illinois and Wisconsin, you need to get a non-resident license. Those requirements are listed also.

If you get hired on by a company before you get licensed, you should be able to take the courses required for licensing for free (that is what I did) AND get paid for going, too.
Just be sure to get fully licensed... Life/Health/Accident AND Auto/Home so you can be the most marketable if you should decide to leave the company you are trained through. (This will aslo maximize your income potential by allowing you to sell all types of insurance rather than just part of it.)

its not compulsory to take classes if you have knowledge about it you just have to give a exam to get the licence |
