As many others have said. Call your insurance company. Most times they are willing to work with you. Most companies would rather keep a good customer.

CALL your AGENT AND EXPLAIN YOUR Problem and maybe they will extend my coverage.

My friend works for an insurance company...and they cancel your insurance if you are late and don't tell them about it. Give them a call!

Laws very from state to state. In my state monthly statements say no grace period but the state laws require them to cover you for 30 days past the due date. Call your state attorney generals office and they will answer this question for you. It is in the book and a free call. I doubt if they can cancell your policy for being 2 weeks past due but you better check. The insurance company has to follow the law but they also lie a lot.

I can only speak for the state in which I hold an insurance license.

There is usually no grace period on auto policies. If you are paying a monthly payment, and it is current until June 5, and you paid two months down on the policy when you purchased it, then you would have an additional 30 days to pay. But you would have to pay two months again.

You should call your agent and find out what your options are. But call before the due date, because your policy coverage ends at 12:01 am on the due date if there is no grace period.

Is your policy a standard, preferred, or non-standard (high risk) policy? If your policy is standard or preferred, be careful to keep the premiums paid on time. You could end up on high risk insurance.

Call your insurance company...sometimes they are willing to work with you- especially if you are a good standing customer- and they may defer the payment until your payday. You'll never know until you ask. :) Good luck.
