Most likely no. Insurance covers everything but water damage. To be frank, you would be better off claming you lost the phone vs. water damage. If you call in requesting info in water damage, it will be to late to back track.

No. Take out your battery, behind it there is a UPC sticker there that is watermarked. Because it was wet, they can tell it was dropped in water (I think it changes color). Claim it as lost, otherwise they will refuse your claim. |

They will, but you will have to pay the $50 deductible first......then they will MAIL YOU a new or refurbished phone!
Hubby did the same thing...........I was pissed becuase you had to wait for a frikin phone and could not get a new one in the store!!

Most times no. Insurance is void if there is water damage. However, take it in to the store and have them check it. It may be fixable but they will have to tell you.

probably not, it's best to call and ask about it without telling them who you are. If the answer is no, i suggest you take the phone completely apart, make sure you "dry" it out completely with a hairdryer on low and then take it in and try anyway. There are ways to tell it's water damage, but if you make sure you dry it out completely you might be able to get it covered. |

Just report the phone as inoperable without the details and it will only cost the $50 deductible. Generally you are receiving a refurbished phone and they are still making money on the insurance payments. |

Probably not. Most phone insurance plans do not cover water damage. Even if you dry it out completely, they can tell because in the phone and on the battery are markings that appear when it gets wet. Even if they are dried, the markings are still there. But you can try. I know my phone insurance plan will work if I say I lost it or something like that. Chances are you will just have to pay a deductible and get a new phone. Something like 50 bucks. My fiancee gets mad and throws her phone a lot (thats a story for another time), and she took it in and got another one for like 50 bucks. She said there was a software error on it (and there really was). The store said it looked all beat up beyond normal wear and tear (which it was cuz she throws it a lot). The only stipulation was that if the company found that it was a defect of manufacturing then they would credit her bill 50 bucks, and if not then she was out the 50 bucks. Turns out there was a defect and she got the credit. Hope I could help! :-) |
