Might look into your state's Victims of Crime program. A friend of mine was whalloped randomly on her way home from work, and landed in the hospital for 5 days. The bill was paid through the state due to the nature of her injury being criminally-caused.
If you state has no program like that, there are often ways to get reduced - bills based on financial need. I forget what it's called (it had a name), but if you think you may qualify, call the hospital and ask what programs are available. You may qualify for a reduction of your total bills. |

Sorrry dude, I hope you.re ok. I live in Canada and the England (summers in Canada, rest of the year in the England) so, being a citizen of both England and Canada, I have never had to pay for critical heath care. I had two of my toes reconstructed after they got crushed and that was "plastic surgery" so my parents had to pay for that. But other than that, no, I've never had to pay for health care.
Best of luck...I know that isn't much but is all I can do.

Cat is correct. One thing about Victim of Crimes coverage, if it's available-you have to PROVE that you did not perpetrate the crime (by police report). If that coverage or option is not available, most hospitals have assistance for financially needy patient's. Usually, if you qualify for assistance at the hospital, doctors and some other providers will also accept the eligibility for their services, so if you qualify, ask the other providers if they accept this as well. Call the Business Office and ask.
Medicaid might be an option if you have children and will be unable (diasabled) to work for 30 days-but each state is different in their requirements for eligibility-check that out as well... |

Check with the hospital, sometimes they have grants that you can apply for or they may have some other ideas for you to try. Do you have any idea who did this to you? Maybe the bar owners have video they can review and you can sue the attacker for you bills? |
