Nobody on here can answer for you- each and every house insurance policy is different I'm afraid. Depending on how much you paid/what insurer you went to it could potentially be covered but the only way to know is to get out your policy and take a good look at the fine print. This will also tell you what the excess charge would be should you be covered.
P.S- people on here saying "was your house pick-pocketed" clearly do not have any experience in owning/insuring a house. Extended cover to include items damaged/stolen outside the house is common!! |

In theory, yes, but your deductible may be more than the phone is worth. |

Check your insurance policy, you normally get SOME LIMITED COVER for this type of claim. |

Your deductible is probably more than the phone costs. So it's not worth claiming |

Even if it does:
1. Your deductible is undoubtedly more than the value of the phone.
2. Make a couple of claims for dumb things like this and you'll find your policy terminated. |

some do some dont. You will have to check your policy or call your insurance company to find out. |

It would be under your deductible so its not worth claiming.
Yes, it would be covered but its not worth it.
Call your phone company. |

~~Many people have coverage for this through their policies. Call your agent. He will need a police report number, so have that ready. Just ask your agent if you have this coverage. I also ask mine if it is worth turning something in prior to submitting the claim.
If my deductible is higher than what I am claiming, then I skip turning it in. Your agent will advise. Good luck!~~ |

They only thing you can do is the conditions of your insurance and take it from there. |

It will vary depending on your insurance terms. They should have sent you all the details of this when you took out insurance. It's probably easiest to just call them and ask though. |

call the police, they will know what to do...
best of luck |
|

Why are people such jerks?

You need first off to call the police and file a report. Call your service provider and inform them of the issue and have them put a hold on your account so you're not charged for someone else running up your bill.
Call your home owners and ask if they will cover it. Some do, some dont. I dont think they will if you were outside the home, off the property. |

Likely, the phone isn't as much as the deductible. |

was it in your house at the time even though it was in your pocket?
it would depend what cover you have, i have standard contents cover but i also have extra personal posessions cover which my laptop, all the mobile phones in the house, jewellery, digital camera etc is all covered aswell |

if you have "away from home" insurance, and everyones excess is different.oh sorry forgot you need to report it to the police and get an incident number first |

umm it depends
did they pickpocket your house? |
|

no you need phone insurance |

No the house insurance will not cover your stolen phone. House insurance is for your house..not your phone. Like if your house got damaged in a fire or something. |

unless u carrry ur house around in ur pocket and it got pick-pocketed
