So,I was driving back to my office after having lunch, there was that car in front of me, when we both reached the traffic, it was already red, so we BOTH stopped.

As I was waiting for the traffic to turn green, I received a phone call from an unknown number. While checking some of the contacts that I didn't save in my contact list to see if that number is one of them, I accidentally lifted my foot off the brake without even realizing that!

My car started moving toward the other car, and eventually hit it from the back (This is when I realized my car was moving)! When the traffic turned green, we both drove until we found a place to park.

I stepped out of my car as well as the owner of the other car. We both exchanged some basic insurance information. I checked both his car and mine, and none a single scratch was there! In other word, it was like nothing has happened in the first place. Also there was no police, nor an eyewitness.

The problem is, the owner of the other car is determined to call the insurance! I know it's my fault, but there was absolutely no damage!

So my question is: Is he gonna get anything by calling the insurance? What's the point of calling the insurance if there was no damage in the first place?
