Yes you should be getting money from your insurance company if You have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage. This coverage entitles you to received money from your insurance company regardless of fault if indeed you have injuries.
However, if you do not have PIP coverage, or you do not have any injuries, then you are not entitled to it. Look at your contract, it should show you if you have any or not.

Vikki
No, and to my knoledge even if you have a pip you wont get anything for pain and suffering.

nada.....you are the reason why they are forking out any money at all. Do you really think they are going to reward you? Expect to pay for this accident in premiums for the next 3 to 5 years.

No but the other party may be eligible for collecting damages under the liability portion of your policy. You may collect medical expenses under your policy if you have Personal Injury Protection and/or Medical Payments coverage.

Nope...coz insurance companies look into all the minute details and theres no way you would get anything since you were at fault....

earl
who should?you or them?

dharma_claire
not unless you paid extra when you signed up for your policy for something called "PIP" personal injury protection but the limit for most policies is like $1,500 and they usually only pay the medical bills with that so the answer is probably no

LOL No! But you can look forward to higher premuims on your insurance. Think about it...Why would you get any money....You caused the accident! Take responsibility and realize you were at fault for your actions! Enjoy paying extra for your insurance though!

C R
States have different laws, but, as a rule the person collects "pain and suffering" money from the company of the person who is at fault.

mbrcatz
no. you can't sue yourself, therefore, the policy doesn't pay you pain and suffering on your behalf.

Isn't the accident surcharge pain and suffering enough?
