Go to www.naafutureagents.com or email me and I will be happy to help you get into it. Be sure you look at the company and see where they get their leads. Is it cold calling? or calling leads that are 3 years old? Do they generate their own leads?

If you want to call me, my number is 501-941-0449 or send me an email.

Check with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Consider choosing one of the larger companies who would take you on initially as a Captive Agent. This means, they will pay you a small sum of money monthly (3 months or so) until you begin earning commissions from your sales activity.

You will learn a lot, especially if you follow their instructions. They may also want you to get your Property and Casualty license, in addition to your securities license (Series 6 and 63) so that you can sell variable products.

Congrats on obtaining your license! Depending on the style of selling you are comfortable with, there are many options. I personally like the freedom of working independently but not alone. Check with www.cappersinsurance.com. They are a solid ethical company if you want to work calling on subscribers in YOUR area and don't want to work or travel long distances. Or look for a company with a great training program like Mutual of Omaha. Some companies require you to take work late nights and require quotas so think about HOW you want to work and how competitive you want to be. Good luck and have fun!

Find an agency that will take you on, and train you up at the same time. They'll teach you what you need to know, and you can use THEIR markets, but they'll take half your commissions.

But it's worth it, for the support and education, until you learn about the business.

If you have never done anything with life and health I highly recommend that you work for someone or with someone with experience and a prooven track record. There is still a lot to learn about how to sell though lines and the state test are far from the real world of insurance. If you can get in with a company with a solid name and has a good training program that is what I would recommend. Most good l and h companies will have a good training program and let you work with mentors that know how to sell and the products inside and out.

Good Luck

It's a great business to be in!
