I have had Brain Surgery and I have had an Organ Transplant within a 5 year period. Am I eligible for any?
Governmental assistance? Additional Details I am male (white). Had a Hemorragic Stroke. Live in
the USA.
Whether or not you qualify for government assistance depends upon your level of disability (for social security benefits) Your income level (for medical and food stamps or public assistance). You should visit the social security website and see what would qualify you for SSI. If you think you are eligible; download the forms and fill them out and mail them in. You should also visit the unemployment office for unemployment insurance and the welfare office for public assistance. Get started as soon as possible.

Have you checked with social security disability and agencies like that?

You didn't mention the country you are from. That would help.

That depends on if you able to work or not. Some states offer a rehabilitation benefit where they train you for a new career for free (Texas does). Contact your office of Human Services and ask what resources are available.

Whether or not you are eligable from my understanding is not based on what surgery's you have been through. If your current physical condition is preventing you from working, or if you are not making enough income to afford the medical bills and have no insurance then you most definately qualify.
