Depending upon your policy, it may be covered. Just because your at fault does not mean it will not be covered, think collsion coverage when you hit a tree. You are at fault and your insurance still pays for the damage. It all depends upon what coverages you have purchased and what forms your insurer uses. Contact your agent tommorrow and at least file a claim. The other issue you will deal with is deductible vs. value of t.v. vs. risk of increased premiums. |

No. But even if it did, they would not pay the deductible. Also, insurance companies tend to frown on claims, so too many may mean your rates go up, or they drop you. Staging a burglary, as some suggest, is fraud and against the law. |

In order to have insurance against accidents like that, you need to insure that particular item. Homeowners' insurance will cover it if it's stolen or damaged by an act of nature or fire (but not a flood). |

it would only cover it if you put the insurance on it before. Dont even bother taking it back to the store-as they will tell you -once it leaves the store with you its your problem. Alot of people break those-thats why people should have the store deliver it. sorry about your luck guy |

Do you have your contents (the furniture and stuff you keep in your house) insured? Check your policy and ask your insurance rep in the morning if they'll pay for it when you dropped something by accident. |

i have a JVC high def and broke the tube or projection piece or whatever while trying to fit in through a door in my house (it's very big sits on the ground and rolls on wheels)......anyways it broke, luckily i had circuit city warranty plan, if it's a high end TV you might be able to squeek in something like that, or if you dont have a warranty, alot of the time with the manufacturer, they have a "lifetime parts defect warranty" that certifies your product for life against a failure due to faulty parts, so as long as it's mechanical breakage or shutdown and not like...a shattered frame/screen or other obvious mishandling type damage, maybe then you could pull of a "it just stopped working". good luck. |

No. Furnitures, fixtures and appliances are not covered. Only the general structures of the house itself are covered by non-life insurance. The same with the car, the contents of the glove compartments as well as the decorations hanging on the rear-view mirrors are not included in the coverage. |

only if you kick in your door, break a window and put things by the door as if you were being robbed. Make sure you wear gloves. Call the Police and make a report.
Then call your insurance company and tell them that someone broke in and was trying to steal it. |
