Generally, yes. It sounds like this is a homeowners policy. The coverage is basically perils of direct physical loss, less exclusions. "Windstorm" is generally a covered loss. The recommendation to get an estimate is a sound one, as you may not wish to make a claim if the loss is small. Though "act of god" (storm) perils are not normally noted as chargable (premium increase) items, if you have this claim, and then some other type of claim within the next 1 to 2 years there could be an adverse impact, including rate increases, or cancellation, the latter making it harder to get good insurance at affordable rates in the future. |

Yes it is covered, it is generally covered and falls under the defined event of storm damage. Read your product disclosure statement to clarify if in doubt. |

You may have coverage, call your insurance company. Be prepared to give the date of the "windstorm". Then call a couple of local roofing company's to get an estimate. Do not trust your insurance company or it's adjuster. |

Get an estimate, look at your insurance deductible and think hard before making a "small" claim. |

Probably, after you pay the deductible. If you have a $1000 deductible and it would cost about $300 to replace the shingles....you get where I'm coming from? |
