1. you would split fees/commissions 50/50 if you work for another broker.
2. You need to get a license to sell insurance and securities, in your state. You need property/casualty for auto, life/accident/health for life & health, and there are a VARIETY of securities licenses depending on what you want to sell. Each license requires a different test.
3. Auto commissions range from 8% to about 15% depending on type of risk and carrier. Again, if you use someone else's contract, HALF of the commission would go to them. |

Firstly, you need to know what rules govern sale of auto insurance in your province/state, etc., which are frequently rather complicated, with a course and an exam to qualify and be licensed.
Then, if that's the track that you want to follow, possibly home/contents/tenants'/liability, etc. insurance.
Life/disability insurance is a whole other ball game.
So is investing - some years ago when I sold mutual funds, the rules were just being made regarding parallel insurance systems. Allied companies dealing in insurance and mutual funds could use the same office complex - but they had to have different entrance doors.
The dealing in stocks is an entirely different system - and seldom is worked along with insurance, I think.
Why not just visit an insurance brokerage that specializes in the systems that interest you and ask?
Ya don't ask - ya don't get.
And getting responses from the horse's mouth is the best source, usually (unless you're a jackass).

first of all you must have experience and network,for that you can join some one who will be ready to be with you.For becoming a n agent you have to contact an agency with whom you can work with.in some sector you need a reference.Commission depends upon the target you achieve.You can also contact agency,by reading advt.all the agencies have their own norms!

3.Commision are paid different from one company to the other and if you do auto insurance yourself, there are a lot of paperwork and service you need to provide to the clients. there best way is to team up with another company so you need collect referal fee. |

If you are going to provide investment advice, you really need an registered investment advisor, not a broker dealer. Depending on what you plan on selling you may not need a b/d at all.
This question can go very deep. You will see conflicting advice because b/d's sometimes loose income if you RIA does its own billing. I could go on.
