I just got kicked off my mom's insurance and I was seeing a psycholgist.?
I tried to apply for other insurances such as Blue Cross, Kaiser and even mediCal but did not work out. I just graduated and it has been difficult finding a job. I really need to see my psychologist again but can't afford to pay $400 for the visit. What other alternatives do I have? What else can I do? Additional Details Please serious answers please.
If you were on your moms policy through an employer, the employer should have offered you COBRA. If they didn't, contact them and let them know you want to elect it. It is a law that the employer has to offer you COBRA.
Keep in mind that you will pay the single female rate plus 2% so it could be high.
If it was an individual policy maybe ask the company about converting to your own name on that policy.
