Yes, it's possible to get special coverage for something unique. It's generally expensive, and not all insurance carriers would be willing to write up a policy for it.
If might be cheaper to get a disability policy that deals with any injury or illness that prevents him from working, and pays benefits accordingly.
And that would cover a head injury that affects his ability to use his arm, and any illness as well, rather than JUST injury to the arm. Getting a policy that only covers the arm, leaves open that "devil's details" circumstances - where he's injured or ill in some way that prevents his making art, but the arm itself is undamaged. |

yes, there are specialty companies that insure body parts. Lloyds of London, for example, would insure something like J. Lo's booty. I imagine its pretty expensive, but it is available. |

Yes and no. You can't insure his arm, but you can buy disability insurance in case he's unable to do his job. A model can insure a body part like legs, face, etc.... They could become scarred, burned, etc.. whereas they would still function and not physically keep them from doing anything, but as a model their economic value would be gone.
So, yes you can, but not for your husband. Just buy disability insurance. |
