be careful. "cheap insurance" and "good insurance" are mutually exclusive. if you want good insurance you will have to pay for it. the best way to get good coverage is through an employee group. if you're self employed or your employer doesn't offer it you will have to buy an "individual" policy. you will have to be in relative good health to qualify, few if any pre-existing conditions. health insurance companies don't want to insure people that are already unhealthy. |

Cheap health insurance is forged, or not really insurance. Real health insurance will cost a person in their 20's about $250 a month. Each. And won't cover maternity.
The best place to get health insurance is through your employer, because they'll pick up a huge hunk of the tab. If you can't get it through your employer, contact a local agent who can write policies with companies licensed to do business in your state, and has local providers near you. |
