Set up a payment plan with the medical providers who treated you. |

You are most likely going to have to pay for it yourself. |

You can appeal, but you will probably lose. |

Prepare to pay for this one yourself. Your health insurance carrier isn't going to pay for non-approved procedures.
Your best bet is to attempt to work out a payment/discount plan with the provider of the service you received. |

Ask the provider(s) if YOU can pay the rate they would have been reimbursed had your insurance covered it. |

Call your insurance company and ask for the full appeals process - including contact information... Follow those instructions to the letter. BUT, be prepared to pay for the procedure. You can not force an insurance company to pay for something they don't have to - unless it's in your contract with them, and since it's something not approved by the FDA, it probably isn't in the contract. |

ask your doctor's office if they will help you file an appeal. Your appeal should include info from your doctor stating why it was the best treatment option for you, in his medical opinion. It should also contain your medical records, & information about the actual procedure. |
