you'd have to check your home insurance to check what kind of liability your covered for. Most include public liability, but maybe not if they're on your premises for gain. |

Yes you can get what's called a 'Working From Home' policy or a 'Homeworkers' policy. Don't listen to anyone who advises you not to get cover. Contact your local broker and ask them for a quote. |

I would assume that if you are having people come into your home it would be logical to have some form of laibility insurance. If a pupil slips, trips, or falls on your property you could be held liable. Not sure where you live but if your walkway is slippery, something spilled on your floor, something left on the floor that's a trip hazzard, could all lead to an accident that could come back at you...chances are slim, but I wouldn't want to get caught in a situation like that... |

welcome news
|
You will need to check that your house insurance covers the home for such use.
It is advisable that you take out public liability insurance (a working from home policy should cvoer that).
As is usual - if you have any specific needs you should speak to an insurance broker. |

ARE YOU SERIOUS?????
Point one: You do NOT need insurance - - - unless you want to keep you home.
If you have anything of value (home, car, future earnings) you better have insurance.
Point two: Insurance never is able to cover every possible contingency. Even life insurance has specific limitations. Thus, if you are sued, you better hope it is for something that is covered. This you must hope you are sued for an amount covered by the policy.
Point three: Want to keep your home even if you are sued? In fact, want to help prevent a suit by a parent or student?
(Note Bene: Those who are children this year can sue you after they achieve what lawyers call 'majority'.)
