Instead of telling you WHICH laptop model you should buy; I can guide you about how to find yourself.
As you have specified that you work as an insurance agent - analyse your needs first .
You may be requiring Programmed like Open Office (or MS Office ) to work with numbers and drafting letters and mail merg.
Operating system may not be a matter of concern for you at this stage.
Also check for printing and internet and data transfer support.
In most of the basic laptop now a days these things are present.
To make it very cost effective and to serve your office PORTABILITY requirement - ANY Laptop without blue tooth or WiFi network adaptability will be sufficient. For data transfer - see that atleast two USB2 ports are trhere and also make sure you have latest Antivirus Version which you can keep updated through net may be.
So what i have mentioned are the things that are incidental to your work needs. Now for you its just a matter of comaparison of prices and after sales service support record. |

i would go with a dell...simple great support...if your looking for high preformance i would go with alienware....if you were going for cheap go with hp
overall if your not going for a PRO laptop go with a dell... all of there products are good |
