Go to www.Medicare.gov. Here you can search for the different Medicare insurance providers in you county. I recommend Medicare Advantage Plans over Medicare Supplements, With a Medicare Advantage Plan your father just has to be enrolled in Medicare part A and B. This plan is known as Medicare part C where you are still afforded the rights and protections of Medicare, but the paperwork is done by a private insurance company. You can read more about Medicare Advantage Plans in the Medicare and You Handbook for 2008 which you can get from any social security office for free.

If he has an health issues, you may have problems getting a good rate, but there are thousands and thousands of insurance companies out there. Just make sure whoever you take the policy out with is a legit company. There a lot of scams out there even in insurance. Try maybe Blue Cross, Blue Shield. There an older repritable company. |
