I am licensed insurance agent in Ohio. If you already have been diagnosed with kidney failure you would not be able to purchase life insurance. Your best bet would be to enroll in your employer's group life insurance as you would have a set amount of insurance that you could obtain without having to prove that you were in good health. |

Well, you have high blood pressure, and your kidneys are failing. You are going to have to pay a way, way, way lot for your life insurance. Maybe thousands a month, depending on how much coverage you want.
The time to buy life insurance is BEFORE you start having stuff go wrong with you.
BUT, if money is no object, you can start calling around for a high risk life broker in your area. You can also see if your employer offers any kind of group life insurance, that you don't have to qualify for.

Sorry dude, you are 33 and have hypertensive kidney disease. If you told me you were 77, it might be a different story, but I don't see a life insurer going out on a limb for you right now. 5-10 years of good control, maybe.
If guaranteed issue policies are available in your state, that's an option to consider. I think your best bet is to listen to your doctors and focus on your health so you can see your kids graduation.
