Selling Insurance is a long term job. The first couple of years never divide your hours by your paycheck. You will quit the following day.
There is what is called a cross over period where you start making more than your write on a daily basis and then life start getting good.
EX: My first 2 years I averaged about 45-60K a year. Year 4 I had a big enough book of business that I had 53K in reserves for the year before I wrote any new business.
Find a good company to start with and grow with them. |

My husband used to sell insurance full time, I found it to be not so good if you don't have a cushion to lean on. It takes about a year for your business to get straight to where you have continuing funding. I would start out part time to be on the safe side. |

If you are a "people's person", then your only challenge is to get in front of people. I have seen new agents get a great start then fizzle and others that take a while and are very successful. |

experience doesn't have 2 much to do with it. It's knowing your product, building trust, and creating a need. Insurance agents make anywhere from 20k part time to "unlimited" full time. How hard and how much do you want to work? Average Joe 9-5 can do about 50-75k rather easy. Smokin' Joe and do 75+. |
