i was getting an item when another one fell and injured me i am off work without pay for wks i filed a claim with the store they tell me they are not responible for anything.

for all of you who think i am trying to just sue someone....i went to the store to try to just get my medical and off work paid not to sue for anything! and they did not have the safe guard high enough to stop the wood from crushing my foot and breaking some bones via why i can still be on here sitting is it i am not allowed to stand walk or drive and my work in which i been doing for the pass 15yrs requires all three of those. nothing fell when reaching i had got my item to put on the cart and the wood wasn't with a brace bar or stacked to where it wouldn't fall from over my head 2 boards slid off and hit my foot. |

If they refused your claim, your only option is to sue them. That, however, is a long and expensive road to take. You should be eligible for state temporary disability while you are unable to work. |

Well, they aren't!
If you disagree, you can sue them. But likely a lawyer isn't going to take the case without you paying them up front, because *I* think this is a losing case. You were careless reaching for a can, and another can fell. Gravity happens, ya know? They didn't cause the injury. They don't "automatically" have to pay just because you were hurt on their premises.
How badly were you hurt, being off work for weeks? How long were you in the hospital?
ANd more importantly - if this happened in your pantry at home, what would you have done?
This is NOT going to turn into the cash cow I think you're hoping for. Better get back to work so you can earn the money to pay all the medical bills. |

I also find it odd that you didn't even state the nature of your injury.
They aren't responsible to pay for people trying to scam them. |
