There is no guarantee you will get any settlement at all.
The store would only be on the hook if their negligence caused your injury. Just because you were in there store when it happened does not mean you get a pay day. And the burden of proof is on you. You have to prove the store was negligent and that negligence is the cause of your injury.
You will need to follow up with the adjuster handling the claim. |

Depends on how severe the injury, and if it was the store's fault or not. If they didn't cause it (like, if you tripped over your flip flops, they will settle this damn fast - with nothing paid out.
Just because you fall at their store, doesn't automatically mean it's their fault and you're going to get money. |

i slipped while walking out of a auto store with an employee. ( he was going to put my windshield wipers on. I slipped on ice, and was knocked straight down on my back and smashed my head. I was sent to hospital by ambulance. They have not figured out what my exact diagnoses is because the swelling and bruising after 2 weeks hasnt gone done. Ive had doctors appointments, perscriptions and have been out of work for almost 3 weeks.
The auto store has not given me any information. I have called and been given the run around. First I should say I had to call the store. No one filled out any paperwork when the accident happened or asked my name or anything.
When I called I was told it had to go threw corp. That took a week, then corp said they had to contact the store another week, now they have said they are working on it but it could take awhile. Not giving me any timeline or information.
I dont know if its to early to look into getting a lawyer? Like I said I have been out of work 3 week and doesnt look like I am going back for aleast a few more and that would be part time.
Any help would be greatful |
