That you are so considered about pre-existing conditions suggests you already have a health condition. So you want something that is not a scam but will cover your health problems that already exist? Who is scamming who? Do you think they should sell life insurance at funeral homes?
The only policies that don't have pre-existing conditions limits heavily underwrite, and if you have a health condition, they'll know about it. |

To excpt pre-existing conditions means to not cover them. To ACCEPT them, is what you mean, I think. The ONLY chance you have of getting preexisting conditions covered, is through a large group plan you can get with your employer.
Health discount plans are NOT insurance plans. |

For better or for worse, health insurance is something you need to buy before you need it. Individual health plans in virtually every state will exclude pre-existing conditions or simply refuse to insure someone with known claims in the pipeline.
Group plans can't turn you down. So if you've got a legitimate business, you should be able to get coverage. Whether you can insure a domestic partner or not depends on state laws. In California, for example, it's permitted. I don't know about other states.
With a complicated situation like yours, your best bet is to consult a local insurance agent. They'll know the laws in your state and the carriers which will be open to working with you. If you don't have an agent, you can find a local one at the National Association of Helath Underwriters' website (www.NAHU.org). NAHU is the trade association for agents who specialize in health insurance. Just click on the "Consumer Information" tab and then on the "Find an Agent" link.
You're in a real bind and I'd highly recommend finding a local expert to help you out. |
