No, the way they pay out, doesn't matter. What matters, is how the claim is counted against you. A "cat" claim, isn't included against you, when a company looks at your total losses. So, if you have two cat claims, and no other claims, you can't be dropped, and you can't get surcharged.
But two non cat claims, and one cat claim, is two claims against you, and you can be dropped. |

No. the insurance company should only handle the claim differently if it is a named storm (a hurricane) or not.
If you have hurricane insurance, they will handle claims the same for all categories of hurricanes. |
