The hire fee has to include wear and tear on the cars... to eventual replacement. And of course the insurance your on about..... some specialist brokers in the Lloyds of London market might be able to help you there.

I assume that you are after 'self drive hire' insurance. If you contact 01388 607105 then the firm can send you a proposal form BUT you won't be able to insure your friend's car's just your own. The premiums will also be quite high - I would budget on about £3K per vehicle depending on where you live.
With regards to Pay as you go, the market leader is a firm called Compucar - but they specialise in the run of the mill small vans/ Ford Focus type vehicles, not BMWs Mercedes or Maserati's.
