Why do claims estimators want to know if insurance is paying or if you are paying on an estimate? |
Will claims estimators charge more if insurance is paying? After all it's an estimate and they wouldn't need to know if insurance is paying until you decide to get the work done.

xxsexiiwhitneyxx | If a motel catches on fire and all my stuff is lost in the fire, who replaces it? |
My boyfriend was working out of town and in the middle of the night the lady next door to them decides to take her life by fire... So he wakes up his room is on fire and he lost all his clothes, and cell phone. |

The motel should have some kind of Commercial insurance to cover such lost. |

Your homeowners or renters insurance will cover your stuff. The motel isn't responsible for any of your stuff at the motel, unless it's in the safe in the office of the motel. |

All the previous answers are correct unfortunately. It will really depend on the type of insurance the motel carried. If they had 'good' insurance then the carrier may cover your loss. If they bought cheap insurance, then there may not be coverage for property of others. If the motel didn't have insurance to cover your belongings, chances are you won't get any money, as paying you anything will be the motel owners smallest problem, considering his business just burned down. |

His belongings will be covered under his renters or homeowners insurance policy, which has a specific coverage for personal property.
There will be a deductible that applies.
The hotel isnt responsible for any of his personal belongings. |

The motel's insurance company should cover the loss unless they can prove your boyfriend caused the fire. |

if you have insurance the insurance pays half and the motel pays the rest but if the fire was not your fault the motel pays all of it if it was the motel could sue you and the insurance would pay if not you could sue them. |
