That is a tough one, if the tree is on your property and dead then no, because it would be your fault for leaving it there. If it was a neighbors tree maybe; but if it was a hurricane, probably not unless you have hurricane coverage. You need to talk to your agent and get it in writing, but if it already happened, good luck!! |

If your policy covers "falling objects" it will cover the damage to the house.
The STANDARD homeowners policy DOES cover falling objects, and a limited amount of debris removal (ie, tree parts). Debris removal is usually limited to $250. |

Unless your policy excludes wind and hail damage, you SHOULD be covered. But really there is no way to really know without reading your policy. You can always call your agent too if you have one. |

I would love to say the answer is yes all the time, but it's not.
You should read what you insurance covers in the documentation that you have.
I believe it should all under acts of god. or occurence of mother nanture.
Depending stipulation laid out in your insurance documentation it might not. |
