It's easy but you'll pay a higher rate b/c you're considered a higher risk driver for going without insurance.

In my experience it really will not be that hard but it will be more expensive. Also, most insurers these days will check your credit score in order to price your policy. Check out www.insweb.com and get some online quotes

If you try a major insurance company, they put more things into consideration. When you go to get insurance, just make sure you go to one of the type of agencies that don't check credit and you'll be fine.

You will be able to get insurance. It might cost more if you are not currently listed on someone else's policy or have your own active policy.

Not hard at all, the only thing is big company's like State Farm won't insure you. Go to a independent agent that represents a lot of co. they will find you the best price.

Easy, but unless you were out of the country (as in, military stationed overseas), you'll have a hard time getting a "standard" carrier to write you. You'll probably end up with Infinity or Progressive for the first year.

Not hard at all. But, you won't have the "continuous insurance" discount until you have insurance for 6 months or a year. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.
