Even though the policy is in your husband's name and the rest of you are on as riders, you are all still separately insured. What this means is that the policy will pay no matter who dies. If everyone dies, a separate death benefit is paid out for all members.
One problem with being a rider on your husband's policy is that if he were to die first, the policy technically is terminated upon payout. What most companies will allow you to do is take your term portion and turn it into a policy of your own. You will, however, be charged a rate for whatever age you are at the time. It could be very expensive. |

AUTO or LIFE? I only know about Auto. If he has medpay on his auto policy and he is at fault for the accident, His auto ins. company will pay injuries up to the policy limits. If he isn't @fault for the accident, The adverse party ins. company will take care of the injuries. |

In the case I'm familiar with, a mom was insured, and there were riders for any children she had, or might have in the future, up until age 18 only. The riders were for much less money than the insured persons. |

Of course they'll pay, you need to read the policy because more than likely, the wife can not get more than 50% of the husband coverage as a rider. If 50% is not enough, then you need a separate policy. And the kids are covered for a small amount usually, like 10000. And they do pay as long as you pay your premium and the death is not the result of suicide. |
