Christians SHOULD worry about IRA's and CD's because the great Christian prophet said, "Where your treasure is, so your heart is also."
Jesus Christ never lost his temper, never encouraged his followers to swoon or babble, and never promised to come back. He has a lot of hysterical followers, yes. Let me remind you of something you know deep within your heart -- hysteria, emotional overdrive, exhuberant enfatuation with Jesus -- these are dangerous moods, openings for the dark side. To handle snakes to test God is to worship Satan. To hope the world fries while you watch the Rapture from a skybox with Jesus is to damn your own morbidly curious soul.
I'll tell you a secret. Jesus is disgusted with the Christian churches. He doesn't want to come back and clean out this toilet, and it looks like his father has signed off on the request for a delay. Don't count at all on a "rapture" during your lifetime. |

apparently they have too much time on their hands, or not enough things to worry about, or they belong to a group of people who worry so they worry too.
In the christian religions people are told they need to prepare themselves to enter into the kindgom. Maybe those talking about it all the time are afraid they have not led stellar lives, or they are not sure if that they did would be cancelled out in end times. |

I'm not worried. However, because I don't know when the rapture will occur, I have to provide for my future as if it won't come for quite a while. If I still have money when the rapture comes, I don't really care who gets it. |

I didn't know that Christians are worrying about the Rapture. The Lord gave us free will, to good or evil, to work hard or be a sloth. I think it's natural to prepare for the future, as uncertain as it might be. Just like animals store up for the winter. I don't think parents want their children to fail, but they do feel that it is their responsibility to guide them with the hopes that the children will have a fulfilling life--all to the glory of t he Lord. No, Jesus said trust in the Lord. But we were given a mind, strong back and talents that we are expected to use, also to the glory of the Lord. Amen. |
