poophead | If you get the death penalty and have life insurance, what will happen? |
Will the insurance corporation pay for your death or what? |
|

Doing the Right Thing
 |
Well, there is no rule or law that says that life insurance companies have to pay a death claim if someone has the death penalty. If insurance company won't pay, families can fight for it. |

There are many standard exclusions on life insurance policies. The first one that comes to mind when I read your question says something like the insurance company will not pay benefits when the death of the insured is as a result of the commission of an unlawful act. I think they could argue that, although it was not the direct cause, such as being shot while trying to hold up a liquor store, that the cause of your death in this situation was an indirect result of your illegal act.
If you don't do the crime, this really doesn't matter, does it? |

yes as long as the policy has been in affect for 2 years |

Depends on what the exclusions of the policy are. |

why isnt it considered murder when someone gets the death sentence?? yeah i know they would've had to do some really bad stuff, but why isnt it considered murder when the government kills people? like war or police for example |

don't have to be death penalty. Life insurance exclude any death as a result of a criminal act |

I LOVE YOU!

No insurance company would pay it! Like you would deserve it! |

As with every insurance policy, I'm sure there must be some sort of exclusion for that, but interesting question. :-) |

An insurance policy is a contract; read the terms of your policy. |
