Breezy | If you give your two weeks notice to your employer, can you still use the insurance plan during the two weeks? |

You can use your coverage up to the termination date of your policy.
Some employer policies terminate on your last day of employment. Some employer policies terminate at the end of the month.
There is only one hypothetical scenario where I could see a person having problems after putting in 2 weeks notice: If the employer decides to let them go immediately, rather than allowing them to work the remaining 2 weeks AND the employer benefits are supposed to end effective on the last date of employment.*
Aside from that, there would be no reason why a person couldn't continue using the insurance plan during their last 2 weeks of work.
* Something similar actually happened to me. My position required 1 month's notice, which is what I gave However, my boss told me she didn't need me anymore after a week. Kinda sucked, because my insurance terminated 3 weeks earlier than expected and I was 7 months pregnant at the time! (Thankfully, I had other coverage lined up through my husband, so I only had a 3 week gap without coverage...but its still nerve wracking when you're 7 months pregnant!) |

Yes. You can use it until the end of the term on the policy. |

~~Yes. your employer will be able to tell you how far ahead your premium is paid and when your insurance will be terminated. You probably have coverage for a couple of weeks to 30 days after leaving.
So ask your employer the exact date of cancellation for your insurance and you'll know when you have to stop using it.~~ |
