Honestly you don't want to hear it, but the best solution has nothing to do with your insurance or county hospitals or anything. The best solution is to have a better financial plan that allows for a $30 copay here and there. |

What government hospital, though? The only government run hospitals I know of, are VA hospitals, and you have to be "in the system" for them to treat you.
Also, even if you DO go to a hospital and claim to have no insurance, they'll still BILL you for services, and it will go through collections, so it's not like it's going to be free or anything. |

Thats what is costing the government (taxpayers) so much money when you don't pay your bills. That is why the health care bill was passed, to get everyone insured, so the government does not foot the bill for the uninsured in this country. The government does not have insurance plan to buy or a hospital, so what are you thinking of? You can try going to a low-income clinic located inside a county or non-profit hospital. If you have medical insurance and a job you cannot get any form of Medicaid. A hospital does not treat people on a regular basis like a doctor. It is for emergencies only.
You can switch to different medications or generics and get them at a discount from the manufacturer, there are programs, or go to Walmart or Walgreen for discount price on drugs.
You have to solve the problem in some way that is honest and not trying to abuse the current system. |

No (whatever it is you mean by a "government hospital"). Treatment at "government hospitals" is not free, either. |

Even if you could, it would not help. Government hospitals are not free. They will bill you later, and will require you to pay something. It might be less than a private hospital, but it will be more than $1000. |
