Yes you can just go to the courthouse and apply for one. You will need a copy of your birth certificate and a picture id. I was a manager of a clothing store and I was able to hire a 14 year old girl as long as I her work permit. In response to Jay Jay we did not reimburse the fee of the permit simply because it was only a small fee and you will beable to use it other places to get a job not just at one place. |

My husband got a work permit and went to work unloading boxcars and digging ditches for a plumbing company, when he was 14. Of course it was in the middle of WWII, and anybody who could lift a shovel had a job. |

In New York state, the age to receive a work permit is 14, but in my area, they make it hard for that age to get a job, they hire most at age 16 |

yes it is possible i had my work permit at 12 doing a paper route. Ask your school about it to be sure.
If your in the U.S. I think it is a $5 charge for the work permit but the employer should reimburse you |

You do not need work permit to be self employed.
Doing stuff on Internet.
But you have to be care full. You should not have to invest money to make money. When investment is required it is a scam as a rule.
Think of thing that you can do then call yahoo and set up a site to receive work. Yahoo advertises site for only $ 4.99 per month.
But if you must then talk to the consular at school to guide you. |

Yes but you will be on strict work duty. Off before 8 pm. and can only work, I think, 24 hours a week. |

Yes you can, but the working restrictions are SO TIGHT on someone your age, no one is likely to hire you.
You'll be much better off starting your own business - petsitting, babysitting, lawn mowing, dog walking, poop scooping . . . AND, you'll make more money that way, too. |

It's not likely I'm 15 and I barely got a job. Our age has alot to do with the hours we work so most people won't hire someone under the age of 16 because we can't work past 7 on school nights and can't have more then like 15 hours a week. You can Ref soccer or do newspapers. Some nail places will let you clean their buisness. I work at a resturaunt making 2.17 a hour plus tips but that's only because my dad knew the owner. Good luck |

Yes. Go to your guidance counselor. He/she will be able to help you out with the paperwork to get you a job. You will only be able to work days that you do not have school on, however. Its the law. |
