It varies a lot. The insurance company is going to "low ball" it. You need to submit a demand letter that is about 3 times your lost wages and medical expenses. If you were really messed up in the accident, call an attorney. They will collect their fee out of the settlement. Good luck. |

100,000 - if you were in the hospital for over a month and had serious injuries maybe. Soft tissue injuries (ie sprained neck) maybe 5,000. I settled 98% of my claims for under 7,000 (medical bills included in that amount)
Also with regards to 3 times your medical bills. That is a complete fallacy. Simple reason why - 2 people get exact same injury. Bob goes to family doctor, Joe goes to ER. Bob's bills are $100, Joe's are $5,000. Why would Joe's claim be worth $15,000 when Bob's is only worth $300. Same injury should equal same settlement. So if someone tells you that your claim is worth 2 or 3 times your medicals, laugh at them and run the other direction. They have NO idea what they are talking about. |

Dream on. It depends on the circumstances. $10,000 is not uncommon for an average car injury. |

Depending on what state's law is applicable, many factors come into play. It may depend on whether there was any fault on the part of the palintiff. the amount of the medical bills, amount of lost wages, amount of property damage, and whther or not a reputable physician feels the injury is healed or has resulted in permanent damage. All damages must be documented for the insurance company to consider before an offer will be made. There is no set ballpark amount for an insurance settlement. |

Usually it is about $10.000. Insurance companies always try to minimize payments. |

How do you average a sprained pinkie and a broken pelvis? How do you average a no-fault state with a pure fault state?
There is no average. It's going to depend on a number of factors, starting with your state law. If you're in a pure fault state, expect to get medical bills. If you're plumping them up with chiro treatments, expect to be out of pocket, in the end, for lots of chiro bills.
Any pain and suffering payment depends on exactly how much pain and suffering you have. If you're 18, female, and beautiful, a six inch permanent scar on your face will be worth some money. If you're 80, male, and dog ugly, that facial scar won't be worth anything. |
