some businesses will cover up to the last day in the month in which you leave. others stop coverage on the day you leave. you need to find out from your old job which they do. in either event, you should have received COBRA paperwork giving you the chance to continue your coverage for 18 months, at a higher rate to you. if you do not elect the COBRA coverage and the benefits ended on the day you left, you will have to foot the bill. |

IMMEDIATELY contact your former HR department as they will know the answer. You should be getting COBRA paperwork to continue your insurance coverage for up to 12 months beyond the expiration date. You will pay the entire insurance premium plus a small administration fee. The premium will be much higher than what you were formerly paying since your employer was paying part. |

When you scheduled the appointments is irrelevant. Contact the employer's HR dept. Have you signed up for COBRA continuation coverage? |

You heard wrong. It depends on how your plan is set up. Some plans will cover you to the last day of the month you worked in, some will cease the last day of work.
Of course, if you decide to take Cobra, you pay the premium, and keep the insurance as long as you pay the premium.
But the bottom line is, no one here knows. You have to check with your HR department. |

howdy, normally your ins. is paid in advance, so you should b covered. however it depends on how reputable the co. u were working 4 is. also u may apply 4 coverage under the "cobra plan", but your premiums will be higher.i think if u cobra, u can b covered 4 at least 1 yr. hope this helps, good luck, warlord. |
