Insurance marketing ideas? Contests? Promotions?
I'm new to a major insurance company's marketing dept and was looking for new and creative ideas on incentives, promotions, contests, etc. to help drive and motivate our agents to increase business/profitability in their personal lines property/casualty book of business. Any ideas are appreciated whether general or very detailed. Thanks.
Just do some creative thinking. Most of the things being done have all been done before. Ask the agents what they would like and go from there. Sometimes the little things work the best.

I am a p&c licensed agent I work for a captive agent at the moment and some of our incentives are if we cross sell to a current policyholder(such as we have their auto but I write their home)my agent will split the commision with us(we get paid hourly).He also has a big screen tv up for whoever increases sales by 5%.For littler incentives my boss gives lunch to us if we make a good sale.He's offered us gift certificates for $25 for any business we bring here on our own.Good luck.

I own a P&C Agency. The market is softening very quickly and everyone wants more business. The most attractive incentives I have scene is an significant increase in commission from 15 to 20 percent for meeting a goal and retaining that new business commission for the whole 2007. Otherwise trip incentives are nice and make sure your field marketing reps are engaging their agencies. Keep the contest simple and obtainable but not a give me.
