I certainly hope not! If you're making babies with out the benefit of marriage, why in the world would you expect insurance. That is one of the benefits of doing the right thing. A lot of you folks don't want to get married, and just play house. Do the right thing and marry your baby's daddy. What kind of role model are you any way? "Oh we don't have the money to get married." Hog wash! Go down to the judge and commit yourselves to eachother. I'll be honest, it probably has to do with how you were raised. For a child to learn things they have to be modeled. Is YOUR dad around? Does he live with his wife, your mom? I'll bet not. You have to be the one to break this chain. Hopefully you will.

Not likely.

Some employers allow domestic partner benefits, but they are the minority. Most employers require you to be married to add your significant other (spouse) to the plan.

He can check with his employer, but don't be surprised if the answer is no.

A lot of companies will allow it, especially if he pays a portion of it. Some companies will allow it more likely if he says you're engaged, even if ur really not.
