It's more ACCURATE to get it over the phone, but it's MOST accurate to do it in person.
It does NO good to get a cheap quote, that doesn't STICK. |

if you think there will be a price difference for the actual insurance, then just get both free quotes and compare them. |

There aren't any companies out there that still charge for a quote. You'll get the same quote either way, so do the one that's more convenient for you! |

I prefer online. I just signed up for a policy over the phone and when I got the first bill all the sudden there was a policy fee charged that wasn't mentioned over the phone. When you get a quote online you have all the facts in writing and can rely on them. However, most online quotes are only estimates until you submit your social and license number. They amost always go up once you actually decide to purchase them. |

It works both ways.Get a quote online, but look out for the excess price, then hassle the brokers in your area with the printout. It works for me. They are not always cheaper online as it is a competative market. |
