Your being scammed. You can not get your insurance license in 3 days. You have to go to an insurance school and then take a state test to get licensed.
Call the Department of Insurance or Insurance Commissioner in your state and ask them. |

There are 3 day courses offered that prepare you to take the licensing exams.
After you take the insurance exam prep course you need to take a licensing exam for the lines of insurance you want to sell.
If you pass the licensing exam, you pay a fee and submit the proper applications to get approved as a licensed insurance agent in your state. The requirements may vary by state in order to become licensed as an insurance agent.
You can contact your Department of Insurance in your state to find out the licensing requirements, and to request a list of approved licensing courses.

Did he take a 3-day class and then made $1200 the following week? If so, then something doesn't sound right. If it was a couple weeks or months later he made $1200 in a week, then sure.
There are many crappy companies, but there are many good ones. The illegitimate ones seems to make money faster out of the gate because they aren't on the up and up. |

Depending on which state resides, there are some life insurance companies that allow prospective agents to make sales presentations with an existing licensed agent. If a presentation results in a sale, the prospective agent's commissions are placed in escrow until a formal state license is obtained. |
