I'm gonna assume you meant employer. If that is the case, can you ask your employer for a copy of their insurence?, yes you can. In fact, there are certain insurance policy that they are required to have and required to post in a visable area so that all can see. Common policies are unemployment, disability, liability and workmans compensation |

You are asking if it is illegal for your employer to ask for your insurance information from you -- the employee.
No it is not illegal. It is absoluely essential if they are going to add you to their commercial auto policy.
They aren't asking you for this information so they can use it if you get into an accident.
They are asking you for this information so they can underwrite you into their commercial auto policy. If you are a higher risk then they will have to pay more in premiums on their commercial auto policy.
If you refuse to provide it or have a very bad driving record it could jeopardize your employment. |

No, but you should be the one supplying it. Unless you mean their vehicle insurence, then you HAVE to have a copy for your own liability insurence. |

It is not illegal for an employer to ask for a copy of your auto insurance policy, if you use or get into a company car. If you do no travel or erranding outside the office for your employer, they shouldn't care. |
